Curriculum Intent

"Our MFL curriculum is designed to progressively develop children’s skills and knowledge of French. Children acquire, use and apply a growing breadth of vocabulary and grammatical skills, organised systematically around topics. We nurture and encourage children’s curiosity about language and inspire awareness of cultural differences in other countries, whilst embedding the crucial skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, thus laying the foundations for future language acquisition."
