PE provision during COVID 19
These are strange and unusual circumstances for us all, and yet we are doing everything we can to ensure that you and your children have as much information about how to stay safe, fit and well during your time at home. On this page, we will post any links to resources, activities and events that we feel are beneficial and, particularly, information provided by South Solihull School Sports Partnership (SSSSP), who we work closely with to ensure appropriate PE provision within school.

SCHOOL 'VIRTUAL' GAMES
We are really pleased to announce that, as a result of our participation in the various events organised as part of the School 'Virtual' Games programme, we have been awarded two certificates - one in recognition of our commitment & achievement as part of the School games programme (click the link to see the certificate) and the other for our 'support and engagement' of the the Virtual Games during the summer term. Congratulations and thank you to all those that took part during their time at home. |
This week we want you to get involved with the South Solihull Sports Partnership ‘Olyp-mix.’ The CSW Virtual Olymp-Mix starts Monday 29th June.
Watch the CSW SGO launch video here - https://youtu.be/s-RSVM64l70
Click on the link below to find out what you have to do. Don't forget to go to www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CSWVirtualOlympics to enter your results.
This is your chance to compete against pupils from other local schools. It would be great to see you get involved. You don’t have to take photos, though you can if you want. Just click the survey monkey link on the last page to enter your results. To win you don’t have to get the highest scores – just the highest % of pupils entering.
Come on George Fentham, you can do it!!!!

Alternatively take a photo of your score sheet and upload it on twitter or your class blog. Make sure your write your scores BIG and BOLD so that we can see them.
By posting a a photo or video clip you are giving permission for them to be viewed on our twitter or webpage.
Which class will win??? Results to be announced next week.

School Games Active Championships
The School Games Active Championships is a national activity campaign to help young people across the UK to #StayInWorkOut using the video-based platform powered by TopYa!. New challenges will be available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to engage with.
Primary and secondary-aged children can join the School Games Active Championships at any time with free active challenges being set via videos within a designated School Games version of the TopYa! Active app. All they need to do is download the app, register as a player and type in the Invite Code 23880.
Children practise the challenges, then submit their best video using a mobile device to receive personal coaching feedback from the TopYa! team of experienced virtual coaches. Points are earned for each video submitted, leading to climbing leaderboards and winning prizes!
The TopYa! Active app is committed to online safety and meets rigorous COPPA and GDPR safeguarding standards. No one can communicate within the app. All children can do to communicate with one another is give each other a virtual ‘high-five’, which functions like a social media ‘like’.
Video content is suitable for young people of all ages and abilities, with regular submissions from National Governing Bodies of Sport.
