Visitors All visitors to our school are warmly welcomed and positively encouraged. George Fentham Endowed School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and therefore expects all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
As a result, all visitors and volunteers are required to sign in at the school office, where they will be given (and asked to read) our 'Information for Visitors' leaflet, which contains all relevant information regarding our 'Safeguarding, health & Safety and Online Safety' Policies, procedures and expectations. Click here to download a copy of the leaflet prior to your visit.
Upon arrival, our office staff will ensure the correct level of checks have been completed, depending on the purpose of your visit and in line with KCSIE 2024. For those working in regulated activity, an Enhanced DBS with barred list check will be required. Advice on how to complete a DBS / Enhanced DBS application is available from the School Business Manager, Mrs Smith.
Checks must be successfully completed and all required information added to our Single Central Record prior to working with our children.
You will be given a lanyard to wear with your signing in pass. Please ensure this is visible at all times and ensure you sign out at the end of your visit: BLUE LANYARD: Staff Member GREEN LANYARD: Visitor/Volunteer, all checks successfully completed, no supervision on site required. RED LANYARD: Visitor/Volunteer, all checks successfully completed, supervision required at all times.
