Curriculum Intent
"Through our History curriculum, children gain a knowledge and understanding of Britain’s history, as a coherent chronological narrative, (as defined in the NC) and how people’s lives have been shaped by this. Children will also know and understand significant aspects of the history of the wider world around them e.g. ancient civilisations and non-European societies. Underpinning our curriculum is the understanding of key historical concepts such as: continuity and change, cause and consequence, historical enquiry and historical perspective."
