Our Remote Learning offer
In line with Government advice, please find below the details of our Remote Learning offer. These have been updated to reflect new guidance for schools from September 2021.
Comprehensive details of our provision from March 2020 through to July 2021 (covering the initial lockdown, phased return to school - bubbles - and subsequent January 2021 lockdown) has been archived and can be found by clicking here.
September 2021 (Updated January 2022)
Following the latest updated Government guidance, schools are no longer required to close “Bubbles” as a result of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within a class setting. Instead any individual child with a positive COVID-19 result will be required to isolate for 5 days (previously 10 days) and can return to school after 2 consecutive, negative LFT results (earliest return to school being the morning of Day 6).
In order to minimise disruption to a child’s education high quality Remote Learning, aligned to the teaching and learning that would be taking place in class, will be made immediately available.
In a change from our previous provision, Remote Learning will now be accessed using Microsoft Teams, with staff posting all work within their Year Group 'class' page, enabling children to access all resources in one place and submit work directly to their teacher for marking and feedback.
We recognise that not all children will have the necessary equipment to allow them to access Remote Learning online. Therefore, we have a number of laptops designated for 'home-use', should they be needed, and these are offered to families if they have a child learning at home.
Our 'Remote Learning' offer, in terms of content, remains exactly the same as before - all subjects will be covered, with the Government expectation for 3 hours (KS1) and 4 hours (KS2) of learning being provided daily.
Please see our 'Remote Learning Parent's Guide' for full details of how to access this provision.
Should you have any difficulties or questions, please contact the school office for further support.
