Maths Curriculum
In this section you will find information specific to our Maths Curriculum. We use ‘White Rose Maths’ for planning sequences of learning and supplement this with additional activities when required. We support children using the CPA approaches (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) but also extend the learning through reasoning and problem solving questions, to ensure that all children can achieve.

Curriculum Intent

"Our intention is to enable children to become fluent in the fundamentals of Mathematics, to be able to reason and make rich connections between different representations and to understand the importance of this subject in everyday life. We want our pupils to develop a sense of enjoyment and curiosity, developing competence in solving increasingly sophisticated and unfamiliar problems. A great emphasis on mathematical language and questioning enables our pupils to confidently discuss the Mathematics they are doing."
