We use 'Letters & Sounds' and LCP for our Phonics teaching and select from the following Reading Schemes; Oxford Reading Tree, Songbirds and Treetops etc.

Our curriculum is based around the core elements of the National Curriculum, alongside the principles of BLP, SMSC and British Values. We want our children to grow into exceptional learners as well as exemplary members of society.

To support the teaching of Reading, we use a range of schemes designed to help children develop their phonic knowledge, comprehension and speaking & listening skills. Amongst these are; Oxford Reading tree (Treetops, Project X). Alongside this, children read for pleasure regularly and also in guided sessions, where the focus is on developing specific reading aspects.
